Marcus and Jan Wilkins (Senior) developed the Wilkins kiwifruit variety on their family orchard in 1986. The Wilkins kiwifruit was more cylindrical compared to Hayward and they believed its shape and size offered exciting new possibilities for the New Zealand kiwifruit industry….

In 2019 a Greenfields Organic Development was undertaken.

Whilst the orchard establishes itself different regenerative and organic methods are assisting with pest control and improving the overall soil health.
